Artistic Directors
The Looking Glass Studio of Performing Arts is owned and
operated by Ron Cocking and Gloria McMillan, a husband and
wife team that established the studio more than 30 years
ago.
Ron has an extensive background in all the dance
disciplines taught at the studio. Tap and working with the
preschoolers are his forte.
Ron appeared with the San Bernardino Civic Light Opera
Association for many seasons performing principle as well as
chorus roles. He has choreographed for numerous area
productions. Ron currently creates dances for his tap dance
ensemble TAPS! Ron is also the creator of an internet tap
teacher's/choreographers video service which provides tap
step ideas and tap teaching hints for tap teachers. The
project is now in it’s 2nd successful year. The monthly
service is advertised nationally in Dance Teacher Magazine.
Ron is also an experienced actor/singer and has, most
recently, performed with Lucy Arnaz and Charlene Tilton.
Gloria McMillan has an extensive background in television,
radio, and film as well as live theater throughout the Los
Angeles area. She was contracted by CBS for nine years and
was a regular on the 50's sitcom "Our Miss Brooks," with Eve
Arden and Richard Crenna.
Gloria has coached children for film and television work
and has taught acting at the Looking Glass Studio of
Performing Arts for more than 30 years. Currently she
directs scenes and workshop productions for her Acting
Ensemble as well as one-, two-, and three-act plays for her
younger students. Most recently, Gloria is slated to create
several voice over characters for a new cartoon series
developed by HKM productions in Las Vegas and produced by
the Sketchers Shoe corporation.
