“Dance the Dream” Disneyland Parade Performance

On October 27th, 2024, Looking Glass Studio Performers will participate in Dance the Dream™, a parade performance down Main Street in Disneyland®!

*LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER: June 1st, 2024. Performers must be 7 years old by October 27th, 2024 in order to participate.

Ticket Types:

(Days for multiple day tickets are subject to change)

• 1 Day/1 Park Tickets - Your reservation will be for Sunday, October 27th exclusively in the Disneyland® Park

• 1 Day Park Hopper Tickets - Your reservation will be for Sunday, October 27th and you will be eligible to park hop after 1PM

• 2-Day Park Hopper Tickets - Reservations will be for Disneyland® Park on Saturday, October 26th, and Disney California Adventure® Park on Sunday, October 27th. Subject to change.

• 3-Day Park Hopper Tickets - Reservations will begin in Disneyland® Park on Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th and will begin in Disney California Adventure® Park on Sunday, July 16. You will be eligible to park hop after 1PM. Subject to change.

• 4-Day Park Hopper Tickets - Reservations will begin in Disneyland® Park on Friday, July 14, Saturday, July 15 and Monday, July 17 and will begin in Disney California Adventure® Park on Sunday, July 16. You will be eligible to park hop after 1PM. Subject to change.

• 5-Day Park Hopper Tickets - Reservations will begin in Disneyland® Park on Friday, July 14, Saturday, July 15 and Monday, July 17 and will begin in Disney California Adventure® Park on Sunday, July 16 and Tuesday, July 18. You will be eligible to park hop after 1PM. Subject to change.

Rehearsal Schedule

Rehearsals schedule is TBD. Rehearsals will start in July and will be held on Saturday mornings/afternoons depending.

SAMPLE Timeline for day of Performance

(This is NOT the actual timeline ONLY an example of what the timeline would look like. We will NOT have the confirmed time of parade performance until about TWO WEEKS before the actual performance.)

• 7am - 8am - check in for dress rehearsal and breakfast (Breakfast is provided)(Parents are released from dancers until the parade is over and they pick them up. If you are a chaperone, you stay with the dancers the entire time.)

• 8am - 10am - Dress Rehearsal (held at one of the hotels where check-in will be and we will have that information at a later date)

• 10am - 10:30am - Prepare to walk to parade route

• 11:20am - Start (Step off) time for parade at Small World (Again this could change to where the dancers start on Main Street and not Small World. We will know this information when we know the actual time of the parade start.)

• 11:40am -12:10pm - Parade ends, Dancers change and are discharged to parents. (Where dancers will be released to parents is yet to be determined.)

Chaperones…

We are required to have 1 chaperone per 15 dancers and will ONLY have 1 chaperone per 15 dancers. The chaperone will be Miss Lieren and possibly another teacher if we have more than 15 dancers participate.

Hotel Stay and Discount

With the Dance The Dream event, there are a limited number of hotel rooms at a discounted rate for performers and their families. The Hotel is the Anaheim Majestic Garden Inn. You will book your hotel reservation through the hotel itself and mention the Dance The Dream code to receive the discounted rate. Discounted rate and code will be provided at a later date.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

+ WHO IS INVITED TO DANCE THE DREAM?

Everyone! Dance the Dream choreography is accessible to dancers at all levels of experience. You do not have to be a student at the studio to participate in this event. You just have to come to all of the rehearsals!

+ HOW OLD DO THE DANCERS NEED TO BE?

All Parade Dancers must be 7 by October 27, 2024 for the parade performance at Disneyland® Park. This is a Disneyland® policy and we are unable to make any exceptions.

+ WILL DANCERS HAVE TIME TO PLAY IN THE DISNEY PARKS?

Absolutely! This is just one of the ways Dance the Dream distinguishes itself from other experiences. We know that a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth® may be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for some Dancers and their families. The organisation prides themselves on running efficient rehearsals and transitions to create the most time possible for families to spend making memories.

+ WHAT TYPE OF SHOES ARE REQUIRED FOR THE PARADE PERFORMANCE?

Female dancers must purchase the all white Keds canvas sneaker (tie version - not slip-on). Male dancers may purchase any all black sneaker with no visible logo.

+ WHEN WILL REHEARSALS BEGIN?

Rehearsals schedule is TBD but will begin in May and take place at Studio B on Saturday mornings/afternoons.

+ WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR ACTUAL PARADE TIMELINE?

Disney will release our Parade time approximately 10 days prior to our performance. At that time a specific timeline for check in, check out and Parade details will be released to the Studios.

+ WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

It never rains in California! We will do our best to delay the parade and we will perform in light rain. However, in the case of severe weather the Parade will be cancelled. If we are forced to cancel due to weather there are no refunds.

+ CAN I USE MY DISNEYLAND® RESORT MAGIC KEY (Annual Pass)?

All Parade Dancers MUST purchase a Performer Package through Dance the Dream. This ticket includes access to Dress Rehearsal at the Grand Californian, Magical Morning Treats and backstage access in the Disneyland Park. However, your Guests may use their Magic Key.

+ WE UNDERSTAND PARK RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED IN ADDITION TO OUR TICKET PURCHASES. WILL WE HAVE TO MAKE OUR OWN PARK RESERVATIONS?

We will take care of that for you! All Dancer Packages and Guest Tickets purchased through Dance the Dream will automatically receive confirmed Park Pass Reservations with their ticket. You will not be able to change the reservation attached to the tickets.
