Dress Rehearsal

Thursday June 20th: Held at University of Redlands Glenn Wallichs Theatre - 1200 E Colton Ave, Redlands, CA 92373

Students MUST be already in costume and with their done when they arrive ready to perform. Makeup is not required for Kinder-Theatre students, however a little blush, mascara, and lipstick goes a long way. Please do NOT have them wear their dance shoes outside of the theatre. They will only need the dance shoes that correlate with the dance they are performing.

NO snacks or beverages will be allowed back stage besides water.

(Please remember you have the opportunity to purchase 2 tickets per family to attend this dress rehearsal and sit in the audience at a discounted price. Seats for this will be first come first serve)

Student entrance and check-in will be on the East side of the Theatre near the front entrance of the theatre. There will be a sign.

Kinder-Theatre Call time is 4pm. Students will be released once everyone has done their dance and once all teachers state that they do not need to practice again. Students will stay backstage for this rehearsal. If you are volunteering, we suggest you use this dress rehearsal for yourself as well and be backstage with your student.

Call time for remaining students is 5:30pm. Students will be required to stay until dress rehearsal is over and will be staying back stage. If you are a volunteer working backstage for any of the performances we recommend volunteering backstage for dress rehearsal. If you are not volunteering backstage and are not utilising your 2 tickets for dress rehearsal, you will drop your student off and then pick them up once dress rehearsal is over. Students MUST come ALREADY in their costume WITH hair and makeup done. We will do our best to get the performers out as soon as possible. We are hoping for no later than 9:30pm.

Volunteering Backstage:

In the next few weeks there will be volunteer sheets at each studio for you to sign-up for. We need to know which performance(s) you are willing to work as well which station you prefer. Please make sure to print your name and contact information CLEARLY for us to get ahold of you. Please have a few station preferences as you may not be placed at your first choice station. Carrie Macias and Miss Lieren are running the backstage this year. There will also be a few dates available for you to come to a meeting to know what to expect and what the rules are for backstage.

If you do volunteer backstage, please remember that our actual backstage area gets pretty tight when students are in the wings waiting to go on. We will NOT be allowing you to stand in the wings this year to watch your student perform. Please make sure you allow yourself to go sit in the audience and enjoy one of the performance.

Please also remember, volunteering backstage is not just about assisting your student or staying with them the entire time, but rather helping every student and assisting where you are needed. We do our best to allow you to stay with your student however there may be times where you are asked to assist in other ways.
