IT'S TIME TO PREPARE FOR OUR WINTER SHOWCASE,

COMING ON NOVEMBER 21st!

We are excited to begin preparing for our 2026 Winter Showcase! Our Winter Showcase is always a fun, casual way for our students to share what they have been working on, and this year all of our classes—including our Acting students—will have the opportunity to perform!

Please read through the information below carefully, as there are several important details regarding performances, sign-ups, costumes, and scheduling.

Winter Showcase

Saturday, November 21, 2026
Location: Citrus Valley High School

We will have three separate performances throughout the day:

  • Show A – 12:00 PM: Tuesday & Friday classes

  • Show B – 2:30 PM: Wednesday & Saturday classes (excluding Ballet 1B)

  • Show C – 5:00 PM: Monday & Thursday classes (including Ballet 1B)

If your student takes classes on multiple days of the week, they may be performing in more than one show.

Participation & Sign-Up

Participation in the Winter Showcase is optional. While every class will prepare a routine, students are not required to perform.

The participation fee $25 per student. Whether your student performs in one class or several, the total participation fee is $25.

To sign up:

  1. Log into your Parent Portal.

  2. Enroll your student in the Winter Show "Class."

  3. If your student takes multiple classes but will not be performing in all of them, please notify our staff immediately so we know exactly which routines they will be participating in.

  4. Deadline to enroll: September 15th, 2026.

Rehearsals

There will be NO rehearsals outside of regularly scheduled class times.

  • Kinder-Theatre classes will begin learning their Winter Showcase routines in mid-September.

  • Junior, Teen & Adult classes will begin their routines in October.

  • Routines will remain approximately 2 minutes or less to keep each show moving quickly.

There will also be NO dress rehearsal at the theatre.

Instead, from Saturday, November 14 through Friday, November 20, all participating classes will rehearse at Studio B during their regularly scheduled class time. This will give students an opportunity to practice in a larger space prior to the performance.

Costumes

In keeping with our tradition of making the Winter Showcase a little more casual, costumes will be simple and consistent:

Kinder-Theatre

  • Black leotard of any kind

  • Festive skirt or tutu

Junior & Teen

  • Black leotard of any kind

  • Red shorts

Ballet Students

  • Black leotard of any kind

  • Red shorts

  • Red wrap skirt

We will provide links to purchase the designated red shorts and ballet skirts at a later date.

Show Format

There will be NO costume changes during the performances. Once students have performed, they will have a designated area in the audience where they can sit and watch and support their fellow performers.

There will be no intermissions, only breaks between our three separate performances.

Because students will be sitting in the audience rather than remaining backstage, we will not need parent volunteers backstage for the Winter Showcase.

Parents will therefore have two options:

  • Purchase a ticket and watch the performance, or

  • Drop your student off and return to pick them up after their performance.

Please keep in mind that the Winter Showcase will have ONE performance opportunity only. There will not be an additional performance or dress rehearsal at the theatre.

Tickets & Seating

Tickets will be $15 per person, per show.

Audience seating will be first come, first served.

Video Recording

Parents are welcome to set up their own video cameras to record the performances. Cameras and tripods must be positioned so that they:

  • Do not take up an audience seat

  • Do not block aisles

  • Do not obstruct anyone else's view of the performance

We want everyone to be able to enjoy and capture these special moments while still being considerate of those around them.

Again, be sure to enroll your student in the Winter Show through the Parent Portal if they would like to participate.
