I’m reaching out with both excitement and heartfelt gratitude as I share an important milestone in the journey of Looking Glass Studio of Performing Arts.

Since 1974, Looking Glass has been a home where creativity, confidence, and community have flourished. What began as a single dance room offering Acting and Jazz has grown—through passion, perseverance, and love—into a vibrant arts studio that has touched generations of performers.

Many of you know the rich history behind Looking Glass:
Founded by Ron Cocking and Gloria McMillan, expanded by their daughter, and ultimately entrusted to me during the darkest days of the pandemic. When the studio stood at a crossroads in 2020—close forever, or continue the legacy—I stepped in because Looking Glass was more than just a building. It was where I grew up. It shaped my childhood, my friendships, and my future. It became a second home not only for me but for countless students over the years.

Today, I am thrilled to say that Looking Glass is thriving again. Our classes are full, our community is growing, and the spirit of the studio feels stronger than ever. For the first time in years, we are ready to take the next big step forward.

But we’ve reached a limit—and we need your support to break through it.

Our current spaces are completely maxed out. We are turning away students, unable to add new programs, and limited in hosting the performances and workshops that have always been at the heart of our mission.

That’s why we’ve launched a GoFundMe to help us expand into a larger, permanent home.
A space that honors our past, serves our present, and inspires future generations of dancers, actors, and musicians.

• Create dedicated rehearsal and performance spaces
